Architects are a peasant profession, required to build advanced stone structures. Architects work in the same way as carpenters.

They are a mid game profession, as they are required for stone and tile walls, floors and roofs, as well as the production buildings for most of the noble professions and advanced peasant professions.

How they Work

Certain structures require an Architect to build them. Through use, these structures will get worn out, and will require Advanced Repair Kits to be repaired.

Suppose a Blast Furnace blueprint is placed in a Forge zone. This blueprint will appear in grey. One of the owners of the Forge zone, when available, will then travel to a storefront being run by an Architect to place the order for the Blast Furnace to be built, causing the blueprint to turn blue.

A Blast Furnace requires 8 Stone Blocks to build

  • If the Architect already has 8 Stone Blocks that they are trying to sell, they will use these blocks, and the owner of the Forge zone will pay for the material cost
  • If the owner of the Forge zone has 8 Stone Blocks for sale, the Architect will use those at no cost to the owner of the Forge zone
  • If 8 Stone Blocks are available for sale from some other source, the Architect will buy them from that source and the owner of the Forge zone will pay for the material cost

Once all required materials have been gathered by the Architect, they will eventually build the structure. They are then payed by the owner of the Forge zone at a rate of 30 copper per hour of work, plus any costs associated with the materials as described above.
